    MBA (Human Resource Development)

    • Program Duration : 2 Year (Full-time) 
    • Seats : 60
    • Annual Fee : Rs.50000/- (Rs. Twenty Five Thousandper semester) and Rs. 1500 examination Fee
    • Admission Procedure : Through UPSEE, Mahamaya Technical University, NOIDA. Admission to the course shall be made on the basis of written test comprising of objective type questions.Written Test will be in English covering English Language, Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness.

    Eligibility : Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 45% (5% Relaxation for SC/ST) marks. Students appearing in the final year of qualifying examination may also apply. This MBA Programme in HRD is a Two-year (Full-time) designed to meet the growing demand for a new generation of HR professionals in the country.

    The main objective of this course is to provide the industry with highly trained and motivated HR professionals capable of maintaining and developing the new knowledge workers. Focusing on the quality of all the dimensions of higher education system the university aims at;

    • Providing need based education relevant to the dynamic socio-economic environment.

    Masters in Human Resource Development (MHRD)

    Program Duration: Two years (full-time), four semesters, Seats: 40, Course fee: Rs.15000 per semester (Fifteen thousand per semester) and Rs. 1500 examination fee. Admission Procedure: Through Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT) conducted by University. Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline with 45% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST and Physically challenged candidate)
    The Course:

    Human Resource Development (HRD) encompasses the basic functions of managing people through function of Recruitment, Selection, Training, Motivation, Compensation Evaluation, Discipline and Termination of employees. Increasingly, HRD is being recognised for it’s strategic importance to organization and is moving beyond it’s traditional pattern as a monitor of compliances to it’s role as business partner contributing to business performance and success. The course is designed to provide the understanding of the evolution of HRM of policies and practices and how changes over time has provided input for development of interventions to answer the various issues in the corporate.

    Course Objectives

    Upon successful completion of this course, student should demonstrate a range of knowledge and skill competencies. Knowledge competencies regarding:-

    • The development of human resource management policies and functions.
    • Fundamental values guiding the human resource management policies and practices.
    • Application of major provisions of key pieces of legislation governing the human resource working in organization.
    • The significant changes and challenges facing the human resource development.
    • In- depth knowledge contemporary issue in human resource management and the competencies required to response professionally, creatively and ethically to that challenges.
    • Develop a research competency for diagnosing and identifying the problems of the organisation and to find out the effective solutions.

    • Analyze the strength and weaknesses of an organization’s HRM policies and develop specific recommendations for managing the organization towards more strategic HRM (SHRM).

    Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)

    PHD Program

    Universities play a vital and critical role in the development and evolution process. The department of HRD offers doctoral program with the primary objective to provide high quality academic training to its students for contributing significantly towards the conceptual and empirical aspects of management through quantitative and qualitative research.

    Faculties as Supervisors

    The department has two highly qualified faculties to supervise the doctoral students. There are forteen seats in the department for PhD aspirants.

    Research Areas

    The research activities in the department are focused on human resource development and its management practices in organizations. The research scholars in the department are working on broad areas like organization commitment, culture, leadership, work values, attrition, organizational ethics, organization citizenship behaviour, employer branding, and like. The research work carried out in the department attempts to explore the emerging areas in HR and conduct an in depth study to understand the process, along with the factors influencing the issues and its outcomes.

    Scope

    The research studies cover insurance sector, IT organizations, BPO, manufacturing units, etc.

    Implications

    The projects run by the department and the work by doctoral students’ aims to contribute to advance research in the area and develop models that give insight to understanding og organizational dynamics.

    How to apply?

    The interested students are required to clear the state level test (Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test for PhD Admissions) and then apply to the university with the scores. On the basis of merit and other norms set by the UGC guidelines, the admission of the applicant to the doctorate course shall be made
