Introduction
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) plays an important role in acquiring a beneficial place in the competitive technological game for economics escalation. It encompasses the copyright and related rights (literary and artistic work), patent, industrial designs, trademarks, layout designs of integrated circuits, geographical indication and protection of knowledge and undisclosed information. Patents are legal protection for novel inventions which are solutions to scientific and technological problems granted by government for a limited period of time. The importance of patent information is being realized more and more all over the globe. The numbers of patents filed in a particular country has been an index of technological development of the country.
Establishment of IPR Cell
The IPR Cell was established on 11March2019 by letter no of 1481/शैक्षणिक/2019 with the effort of honorable Vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Raja Ram Yadav to encourage Teacher/Scientist and researchers to design and innovate novel product.
Objective of the IPR Cell
- To advise and guide researchers for Generation of IPRs
- Encourage faculty members/ Research Scholar to develop innovative and design-based work
- To facilitate clearance from the competent authority for filing patent
- To foster collaboration with industry and R&D
- Commercialization of IPRs
Activities of IPR Cells
- To organize lectures/conference/summits in different departments & affiliated college for IPR awareness &understanding.
- To guide the inventors in promoting their academic & entrepreneurial activities through IPR protection.
- To facilitate IP Management.
- To assess the proposals for patent and scrutinizethem through patent search with the help of Government’s patent body.
